What’s New In My Makeup Bag?

Some new products have made it into my makeup bag this month, including some hot items from Max Factor.

I recently ran out of my favorite mascara, so decided to give something else a chance at making my eyelashes long and lustful.

Enter Max Factor Volume Couture Mascaraicon. It doesn’t work as well as my favorite, but it gets the job done. No clumps or spider eyes, and it applies easily. It definitely separates my lashes quite well, they just don’t look quite as thick and lush as with my regular mascara. The smaller wand makes it easier to apply as well. So for now, that’s what I will use.

Next up is Max Factor MAXeye Liner Eyelinericon. Mine is in “Fresh Coffe” a rich, dark brown color. It applies a lot easier than most eye liner pencils, but not quite as well as CARGO Eye Pencil Eyeliner in Black, which is my favorite.

What I do like about the Max Factor MAXeye Liner Eyelinericon is the easy application, it’s long lasting and doesn’t smudge, and it doesn’t irritate my eyes like some eyeliners do. The other nice feature is the built in sharpener and when it gets low, you just twist it up to reveal more.

At only $6.25, you can’t afford not to try it out. They have some unique colors like Dollar Signs and Jean Jacket.

The next item I’m loving is the Max Factor Vivid Impact Duo in “Domino Effect”. It’s absolutely perfect for creating a smoky eye! The silver is just sparkly enough to catch the light and the dark gray blends with it perfectly to create a sultry look.

My only complaint is the loose powder is a little difficult for newbies to apply. I applied it very carefully and it still spread in the air like powder and landed on my cheeks. Getting the dark gray powder off my cheeks was challenging too! I recommend applying this eyeshadow before your foundation so you can wash your cheeks off when you’re done. Unless you have some amazing trick for applying loose eyeshadow that I don’t know about……

What I do like is the precision applicator brush, which allows you to use it on your lower lid and under your eye. Max Factor Vivid Impact Eye Shadow comes in a variety of color combos allowing for multiple looks with only 2 or 3 tubes.

I want to try the “Smokin’ Rose” and “Sultry Sage” duos. At only $5.49 each, I can afford to!

The last new product to make it’s way into my makeup bag is Max Factor Lipfinity 3D Maxwear Lipcolor in “80’s Pink” #510. An intense name for a great color. I don’t usually wear pink lipstick, but this really is a great color.

I also have Chartreuse Blend #630 and Split Personality #600, both of which are a little too dark for me.

I’d like to try the Caramel Icing #730 and the Natural Hue #745.
